Dorchester County COVID-19 Information

For all COVID-19 inquiries, such as scheduling an appointment for testing or vaccination, Please call our COVID-19 Satellite Center at 410-228-0235. 

Pre-register online or call 410-228-0235 to schedule an appointment for the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine at the Dorchester County Health Department. For information about community vaccination clinics, please call 410-228-0235 as locations and times vary.

Individuals age 5 and up are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination. Individuals age 12 and up who completed a primary series of Pfizer or Moderna at least 5 months ago or J&J at least 2 months ago are eligible for a booster. Eligible individuals can choose which booster shot to get.

 

Rapid At-Home Self Tests Kits Distribution List  **We are currently out of COVID-19 rapid test kits and in the process of procuring more.**

 Did you lose your COVID-19 vaccination card or need proof of vaccination? Please visit MD.MyIR.net and complete the online form to view and print your official vaccination record for free.

Family Planning

This program provides birth control counseling, contraceptives, pregnancy testing, gynecological care, and referral for colposcopy services to women of childbearing age. Family Planning clinic is offered on Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm by appointment only.

Child Health

Provides environmental case management and in-home education with the aim of reducing the impact of lead poisoning and asthma on low-income children. Education, care coordination, Lead testing by appt. (with a current doctors order) and home-visiting services available. Hours are Monday-Friday 8-430pm. This program also includes immunization services for children. Childhood immunizations are now by appointment-only. For more information, please contact Ashlea Foxwell, RN at 410-901-8157.

Case management for Children with Special Health Care Needs

This program provides registered nurse case management for children with special health care needs by securing services and resources for them and serving as the liaison for home, school, physician, and other agencies/programs.

Referrals are accepted from physicians, schools, parents, etc.

There is NO fee for this service.

Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)

This program is for pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, infants, and children under the age of 5 years old. This program is NOT offered as part of the Health Department programs.
