‘Let’s Be Blunt’ Cannabis Awareness Event

June 29, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

Flyer for 'Let's Be Blunt' Cannabis Awareness event being held on June 29.

Join us for a day of learning made fun and find out what youth and young adults need to know about cannabis use!

While adult recreational use is legalized in several states, underage consumption of cannabis can be costly to the developing mind and body.

There will be games, interactive displays, food, and giveaways.

The legal age to purchase and possess cannabis in Maryland is 21. Legal does NOT mean cannabis is safe for anyone at anytime.

Regular cannabis use during teen years and early adulthood may harm memory, learning, and attention — and effects may be long term.

Smoking and vaping cannabis can be harmful to the lungs and cause short- and long-term health problems.

All forms of cannabis are intoxicating and carry risks such as affecting judgment and coordination, which is especially dangerous when driving.

Driving while high is not safer than driving while drunk. It can also lead to a DUI.

If you are using cannabis and need help, talk with a trusted adult, counselor, or teacher.
